Hope this off season the competition committee looks at two things:

1. Targeting - I understand the rule and the purpose, but the implementation is terrible since refs will err on the side of calling it because replay can bail them out. Spearing should be spearing, not targeting, so not include the ejection component. Instead of targeting having its own ejection clause, just change it from a PF to an Unsportsmanlike Conduct foul, so any other UC foul gets you ejected.

2. Overtime - If we really care about the kids, why have an overtime rule system that can result in multi-OT games or encourages extending the tie until a further OT when you get the ball first? A game ending in a tie isn't the end of the world. Moving the ball back to the 35 could solve it. Something ...

I'd just make them go for two in the first OT. No kicks.

But yeah, the targeting rule needs scaled back.
