2014 Week 8 CFB Open Thread

I didn't mean they're gonna become a 10-game winner or anything...

They guy did win trophies in North Dakota though. He has done well with that level of talent before.

In hindsight, it's a shame they didn't get to play that game against Florida to open the season. He might have got that first win a lot sooner.
Well played

I'll put the Buckeyes of NOW against either of these "top five" teams. Make it happen.

Yep. Given JT's complete fucking awesomeness, the general O dominance, and the game by game improvement on D every week, I want the playoffs. However, this might be the year we (or Sparty) get our tongues nailed to the bedpost and horsecocked due to conference weakness.

Root like shit for the corn to roll everyone in their path and be as highly ranked as possible come Indy.

I agree...ND used to be media darlings, but the top 8 SEC teams and free shoes have passed them

The ND hype machine is still alive and well. That's what makes holding my nose and rooting for Free Shoes a no-brainer for me. If the Domers win this game they hype will be cranked up to 11.

This Free Shoes team isn't special. I'm not concerned about them making the playoff. It's not like they can take up all four spots.

It is...but not like the 80s and early 90s. We are not in Beano Cook territory anymore
