2014 Week 4 CFB Open Thread

Not poll based but somehow I bet every year the 1,2,3 and either 4 or 5 makes it in. The only way to fix it is not have polls which would be amazing.

I don't know about that. There will be a year where one of the top 4 in the polls has 2 losses and there will be several one loss teams behind them.

Losing early is always better than losing late. If you lose early you can regain your position as everyone else loses.

I believe Nebby and Wisky will have one loss apiece in November when they go head to head and the winner will be in the BiG final with only one loss. Might have a top 10 matchup there and MSU will be top 5 most likely when we play them. It's possible. One game at a time.

Anything is possible. And for Ohio State, that means starting the journey with beating Cincy this weekend.

The media will never give up their poll, though.
For the same reason they go on and on every year about how flawed and stupid preseason polls are ... and then proceed to vote in them the next year.
They need the hype and attention that their circle jerk poll provides... they need the masturbatory material to create controversy and talk about it.
The AP has been utterly irrelevant for quite a long time now, and yet they haven't stopped using the AP poll as the standard on all televised broadcasts.
