In late August, I was hoping to see a team from the BIG go to the National Championship Playoffs this year.

Today, I'm just hoping to make it to December without gouging my own eyes out so I don't have to watch any more Big Ten football.

I've always had a rather low tolerance for reality...

Barring a dramatic turnaround, the B1G season will quite likely have lost all national relevance before the end of the first week of September. Those with delicate sensibilities on this subject should probably avoid all sports media for a while.
