2014 Week 1 B1G FB Open Thread

They're blaming him for the piss poor football that the offense plays. Seeing as how they only had one guy to catch balls last year (and he's in the NFL now), who they got?

He's not a dual threat!!1!!1!

...in reality he's a no threat.

So your backup safety from last year is your best option for QB....

B1G grow a fucking pair and pay some big time money to get a fucking coach that knows what the fuck they are doing.... At this point I'd like to see us go independent than be associated with these dumb fucks....

Stave was "throwing knuckleballs" before the game according to the announcers. Wisconsin has no receivers, either. Once LSU clamped down on the run it was game over. Shame on the Badgers for getting suckered on the fake punt early in the 3rd quarter. It was all LSU after that play.

The fake punt wasn't a back breaker because LSU also completed a deep ball and Wisconsin still stiffened up and held them to 3. The bigger problem were the two shanked punts and the KO OOB. LSU was working with a short field the entire second half.

Oh, and the issue McEvoy just chucks the ball into an area code. That was a problem too.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks the punter faked a injury to retain his dignity after those two shanks. Because no more than 10 minutes after his supposed injury, he came back completely fine.

When you have two quarterbacks, one throwing knuckleballs, one throwing armpunts - you go with the knuckleballer. At least he can spit on the ball or something to gain some control over it.
