2014 TSUN Football News

Just a reflection on posts not-so-far past.....did that slew of Michigan players (around 8-12 seem to recollect) actually transfer from Meatchicken? Haven't seen any sort of contradiction or updates, so maybe the new OC got people to stay? Any info would be welcome. Taco and Green were two I believe.

Thanks, and Go Bucks!

Not sure who all it was now, but assuming you're talking about Derrick Green, he put in the work this off season, came in slimmer than last year, and the plan is to feature both him and Smith with a dash of Hayes. And with the way they are planning on rotating the D-line, Taco is right in the mix as well in the 2-deep from what I've read.

The only guy I know of for sure was Thomas Rawls who did transfer to CMU

Smith sure saw his PT explode right after that article came out. It was criminal that he was wasting away on the bench while Happy Feet Toussaint ran sideways and Green went down quickly on first contact.

Here's a thread from Stadium and Main I thought you guys may enjoy. Almost has a twelve step program tone to it. IMHO, the best is someone admitting Nebraska would have beat the [Mark May] out of them in 1997.

4. As a fan, the Penn State loss in 2013 was the most embarrassing loss this century.

Really? Worse than losing to Toledo? Worse than losing to Appalachian State?

Also, wow - they are really grumpy about the personal foul call against Crable in 2006. No mention of the pass interference on fourth and a million that let Michigan score that last touchdown, though.

I say it every time it comes up, but it's just hilarious to me that they think they could have won that game. Without even mentioning the 2 uncharacteristic fumbles on the center/qb exchange and that bullshit PI (oops...did I mention them?), every time Michigan had the ball in the 2nd half with a chance to take a lead they went 3 and out.

They looked like absolute dog [Mark May] in their little practice/scrimmage today. Looked like they had about 10k fans there too. Fucking barf.

I was going to give my analysis of what I saw Saturday, but this ^ works just fine.

Man, that was an abomination, and while I can't help but feel some glee, I worry about the B1G and The Game if scUM keeps circling the shit hole.

Bingo. In typical scUM fan logic, they ignore all the breaks that Michigan received in that game (the phantom pass interference call, the +3 turnover margin, the prevent defense OSU used at the end of the game, knowing Michigan needed two scores) and focus only on the final 3-point margin and the Crable hit.

Let's just put it this way--if your team is +3 in turnover margin on a particular day and still loses, you're cheering for the inferior team. Michigan fans can't accept that, though.

Hoke with a big swing and a miss on Lindsay's recruitment. That he ends up at OSU is even better, of course.

Bigger point is that none of this is surprising--what exactly does Michigan's program have to offer at this point that would be attractive to a recruit? The team has gotten worse record-wise in each of the three seasons under Hoke, and over the last two seasons is a combined 15-11. Their QB is a 5th year senior who never has shown much promise, their offensive line is in rebuilding mode (laughable, considering it was a giant sieve last year), their 5* running back is going to be on the bench again this year by all accounts, and they lost by far their best WR.
