Seems that the young guys are really talented but still mentally young. If they stick around long enough to develop this team could really challenge. The mental mistakes have cost them a lot of games this year.

Coach Beals just completed his 4th year and has a overall B10 record of 49-47. Sure hope the heat gets turned up on him this off season. Another season like this and he better be gone. This team is one of the worst teams hitting I've ever seen at Ohio State,this guy is ruining a program the Coach Todd built up. I agree the schedule is better but they have missed on more players than Todd did yr in and out. Not acceptable at The Ohio State University.

Boy that is 4 losses for Ohio State this yr by walk off fashion against Nebraska. Tough ugly loss for the bullpen. So important to win that 1st game, the loser bracket is just that,this team doesn't have any pitchers as it is. I would have liked to see Dempsey in the 8th & Lakins the 9th. I don't know probably doesn't matter. Can't just sit on six runs, have to grind out AB's.

I have to disagree because Todd did not win many championships during is pretty long tenure at Ohio State and he did not recruit very well. In fact, he was a very lazy recruiter. I am not defending Beals because he has to step it up and quickly but to say that Bob Todd build up a baseball program is simply ridiculous.

I agree Todd was a tad lazy recruiting but he still got good players and made them better players before they left Ohio State. Todd never did anything in the NCAA's but he never had a losing season & won 40 games 11 different years. They won 15 B10 titles, 7 regular season titles and 8 B10 tourny titles. I would say he built up the baseball program. It's a joke to say other wise

Travis Lakins has a chance to be a good pitcher, nice 1-2 combo with Tanner Tully. If he can become more consistent with his off speed pitches. Look out this young man will be a All Big Ten pitcher next spring.

Just seen on Twitter Coach Smith from Indiana has taken the Arizona State job. Tough loss for the Hoosiers.
