2014 NFL Conference Championship Sunday

He may do the first, but since he has a love for the game, he won't do the second part of your wish, LOL.

Their Defense is good, don't get it twisted. But they played in a place where they got an OBVIOUS advantage from the crowd AND the refs.
They won't be playing in the house of the '12th Man'. It's an equal playing field, buddies.

So get some sleep Sherman and the Hawks. Cause I'm here to tell ya that Peyton has already started film study.

That all being said....It really has to chap Harbough's ass that he lost to Carroll.
I can't recall too many games where the NFL zebras make so many bad calls/no calls - the ball bounced in Seattle's favor at the very end, the refs gave them plenty of opportunities.

I wouldn't have minded either team winning, but I was rooting for Seattle. This is going to be the Super Bowl I've wanted to see all season. To me, Seattle is the most interesting team in the NFL. Actually, there are several interesting teams in the NFC and we're getting the best of the bunch. Everybody in the AFC is boring as fuck, but at least we're getting their best team too. I was getting tired of the 6-seed wild card Super Bowl bullcrap.

Everybody thinks Richard Sherman is an asshole, and that's why I like him. I wish he played for my favorite team. Don't make the mistake of calling him an idiot though. Stanford doesn't admit a lot of really smart people let alone idiots. Plus, he backed up his mouthiness with his performance on the field. Well done.

That play where Bowman's knee got blown up was the worst bit of officiating I have ever seen. Any rule that prevents the team that ended up with the ball at the end of that play from being awarded possession is a terrible fucking rule and does not belong as a part of this game. That play was exemplary of the things I hate the most about football officiating and rule-making at all levels. Referees are given no latitude, responsibility or training toward using any type of judgement. They are mindless technicians who set out to simply enforce by the letter what the overly-detailed rule book says rather than being true arbiters of the game with the ability to control the competition under the spirit of the rules. I would much rather live with a bad judgement call than a correct call that results in a wrong outcome because of a stupid, unnecessary rule. At least justice was served by Marshawn Lynch coughing the ball up on the very next play. The ball doesn't lie.

I hope for a full and speedy recovery for Bowman. That shit was gruesome. That was a man's play to take away the football in that situation, let alone holding on to it through the process of his knee being shredded.

The Donkeys were the absolute worst possible matchup draw for Seattle. Denver will stop the run, pass protect against Seattle's so-so rush
and exploit them in space exposing their lack of nickel and Sherman's inability to cover the slot.

I actually enjoy Sherman's guest spots on SI's MMQB series, but while he usually comes across as a fun-loving iconoclast in a lockdown CB's body, he was a stupid asshole in his biggest postgame moment yet. He's still an interesting guy but deserves all the pushback he gets from that.

Richard Sherman to Wyche:

"We've [him and Crabtree] had our disagreements, and I'm sure he's going to have to watch that film over and over. I'm happy to send him to the Heartbreak Hotel."

Sigh.

And Peyton will be on NFL Network next. He'll probably be talking to Eisen from the film room, LOL

“I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you gonna get. Don’t you ever talk about me. [...] Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”

Re: Sherman graduated in 2010 from Stanford with a degree in Communication and returned for his final year of eligibility in order to begin a Masters degree.

Remind me again about Stanford's (alleged) high academic standards.
