Researching the Magic!
Watching the match in EPCOT where they have a viewing party area. The atmosphere is awesome with all US fans except for one family from Germany in the corner. Everyone stood up for the national anthem and were singing, and the cheering has been loud and constant.

However, it sure looked like the US was getting outplayed by the Germans. They played a more aggressive defense which resulted in more steals and shots on goal. Anyway (so far) things are pretty much breaking in the US's favor: i.e. US/Germany tied at the half and Portugal up 1-0 over Ghana.

Not to be all late to the party and all, but am I correct that with the U.S. down 1-0 and Ghana-Portugal tied 1-1:
- U.S. is in if things stay as-is
- U.S. is out if Ghana scores again
- U.S. is in if things stay as-is
- U.S. is out if Ghana scores again

Correct. +1 GD on Ghana, +4 GD on Portugal if either were to get the three points from the win and the US gets none.
So any Ghana win and US loss bounces the USMNT. Portugal win at least gives the USMNT a cushion.
