80': Suarez the Cannibal

Did Suarez just bite Chiellini!? The two tussled in the Italy box and Suarez’s head did indeed go down against Chiellini’s shoulder. The Italian defender was pressing into Suarez, and both looked to blame for some aggressive jockeying. Then, Chiellini claimed he was bit, but it was difficult to tell. The Italian has, in my estimation, been embellishing nearly all the fouls – real or perceived – all game. Was he trying to use Suarez’s reputation (he’s twice been penalized for biting opponents) against him?

With all the cameras they have pointed at that area of the pitch, how have we only seen one angle of it?

His ban should be lengthy and worldwide.
