Is the drawing for Euro random or is it weighted at all so the top 2 FIFA ranked teams don't go up against each other in a home-home, like Portgual vs. France for example leaving Iceland vs. Romania or something like that?

There are 2 pots of 4, with the 4 highest and 4 lowest ranked teams...though ironically I think that could still leave you with Portugal and France, because France has slipped quite a bit in the rankings.

Thanks Buck.....looks like that'd leave Portgual, Greece, Croatia, and Ukraine in one pot and Iceland, Romania, France, and Sweden in the other. France is one spot and one point (871 to 870) behind Ukraine though, ouch.

Also, what's the deal with Uruguay? They seem to be ranked #6 but left in a home-home series to qualify. I'm taking it this is a case of FIFA points not being the most accurate?

CONMEBOL is always tough, but should have been easier without Brazil this time. Argentina and Colombia are 3 and 4, while Chile is 12, so those 3 don't surprise me...I am surprised they didn't beat out Ecuador though for 4th. They were undefeated at home, they just had God-awful away form during qualifying for whatever reason. Still, they usually make a good showing at the Cup, so I expect them to cruise past Jordan and then be a toughie in their group.

Sorry, forgot...I got Switzerland, Chile, USA, France. I could live with that, considering.

I did it again, and got Spain, Cameroon, USA, and Bosnia-Herz. Whereas Spain would apefuck us, I think we could battle that one for second.
