2013 Week 9 B1G FB Open Thread

Here's the problem with Nebraska. The main one (other than the coaching).

Team lacks toughness on both sides of the ball. The offense is gimmicky, the defense is too difficult for the players to understand.

Defense is about tackling, and Offense is about blocking and executing. It ain't gotta be complex, and it ain't gotta be fancy. Line up, strap on, and punch the other guy in the mouth.

Nebraska teams have lacked a level of toughness that says, "Nebraska Football."

A sports betting lesson to all compliments of me and my bankroll;

The old line is never bet on/get beat by two bad teams.

Who's the dumbass that took the Over on the Minny/UNL game?
:argh:why me of course.

The conference as a whole is the best conference year in and year out. Hate to say it but it's true.

No, it's not.

Here is the SEC record since the start of the BCS era in 1998:

SEC vs. PAC-12 regular season: 10-12
SEC vs. PAC-12 bowl games: 1-0
SEC vs. Big 12 regular season: 6-10
SEC vs. Big 12 bowl games: 21-8
SEC vs. ACC regular season: 42-36
SEC vs. ACC bowl games: 16-9
SEC vs. Big 10 regular season: 7-4
SEC vs. Big 10 bowl games: 19-19

SEC vs. Big East regular season: 16-15
SEC vs. Big East bowl game: 3-8

The Sec has 5 teams that are relevant the majority of the time georgia, Florida, Alabama, auburn and lsu. The big ten has 2 teams that can say that as of late osu and Wisky.

UGA and Auburn seem like they relevant the majority of the time if you are under the age of 25. For those who have seen the cyclical nature of the conference strength arguments it's much ado over nothing.
