2013 Week 7 CFB Open Thread

OU trying to turn Blake Bell into Peyton Manning doesn't make much sense. They're wasting the Belldozer. My guess is they don't have confidence in his back up.

I don't think they have much confidence in either truth be told. They've been a running team all season, which says a lot considering how much they've thrown the ball the past few years.

Nothing like my BPCFFB II RB getting a TD on his 2nd touch of the game. Well done, Damien Williams.

You know that Bert getting rolled in the SEC will only result in this statement:
"Bret went to 3 rose bowls in his final years in the Big Ten, and then can't win a game in the SEC. Shows just how hard it is to win in the SEC." Then the camera pans to the Arkansas stadium where the entire fan base chants "SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC".

All the more reason why I would expect Bell to run the ball, yet they're not using him that way.

Knight is an actual read-option QB IIRC. Texas has proven time and again that they cannot defend that. If they have half a brain, or an ounce of desire to win this game, they'll go that way in the 2nd half. Bell can run a little, but not like Knight. And I can't imagine Knight could throw any worse than Bell did in the 1st half. Hell, they shouldn't even half to throw if they're smart.
