2013 Week 3 CFB Open Thread

If they don't lose again? Sure.
If they drop 3-4 games (seems highly likely) then no, it would a hit on our SOS.

I was going to ask what happens when #6 drops a few more games later in the year... but then I looked at their schedule. Holy shit, you guys are in the clear on that "quality win" until the last game of the season or a bowl game at least.

And if SC does manage to drop one against their craptastic remaining schedule, it will just prove how deep and awesome the SEC is, some other mediocre team will reap the benefits of the circle jerk and no one will go back to re-evaluate Georgia and the merits of their win in week 2 anyway.

The ESPN has managed to make the SEC perfect in its circular logic of dominance. Hopefully when someone lops the head off (beats a big time team in a BCS game) the rest of the cards will come tumbling down- but I doubt it.

Texas is like Washington: I've always liked them, so I have a hard time wallowing in their misery like a pig in [Mark May]. The shag meltdown will have to be entertainment enough.

You didn't live in the heart of Donghorn country in 2005. For a year everytime I wore an Ohio State shirt I had some slack jawed yokel shouting "hook 'em horns" across the Wal~Mart parking lot. It seemed to stop suddenly in 2006 though. Point of the story is screw the Donghorns, their tears taste like candy!

Then you'll appreciate that I'm sitting out a 24 hour ban on the shag for posting the following in the "Post a Pic Representative of Texas Athletics" Thread.

No porn, nudity or death but probably still nsfw.

Wow. Replay officials just took a TTU TD off the board because the ball carrier dropped the ball at the half yard line. I've seen players drop the ball early plenty, never seen the officials take the TD back via replay though.

They should have taken away the TD and given the ball to TCU at the 25 for a touchback since it was ruled dead in the endzone.

It is absolutely no different than a ball rolling into the endzone on a kickoff and being taken out by the opposing team.
