2013 Week 13 CFB Open Thread

Didn't post while I was watching last night, but Reece quoting George Costanza cracked me up.

Can anyone make any sense of Rutgers kicking a FG down 41-14 with no time left? Is it going to save Flood's job at the end of the season that he only lost by 24 instead of 27? I think that's the saddest FG I've ever seen.

I can see why the coach didn't run it -- I think that was the first hole the OLine opened up since the QB draw in their opening drive.
Their entire team looks out of shape compared to UCF... I think they're going to struggle a lot next year when even Indiana uses 300 pounders on the line. It's not like these undersized Rutgers players are making up for it with speed either.
They should have joined the $EC $EC $EC and they could have remedied that.

Meh - an attempt at a TD would have been just as pointless. Let the kicker play. Special teams was the only thing Rutgers did well anyway.

Some atrocious refereeing with respect to clock control at the end of regulation of the SJSU-Navy game has allowed SJSU to score and send the game to OT.

I thought their screw-ups pretty much offset each other, although they were both really, really crappy. The SJSU guy clearly was not out of bounds and that gave the Spartans at least 10 extra seconds, but they also let a bunch of time runoff the clock before they decided to stop the clock for a first down at the 3 -- although I'm not convinced they had a first down there.

Also, Keenan Reynolds, the Navy QB, ended up with 7 rushing touchdowns last night.

They didn't have a first down and yet the refs stopped the clock.

I'm sure it's an important game for someone, but it's a crap conference so I don't give a [Mark May].

This.

ACC was hyped just to keep Florida State or Clemson in the title hunt. Over the weeks it has been exposed big time. This conference is crap, and the only reason Im going to watch the game only because I put some vcash down on the Doooookies baaaaby!
