2013 Week 11 B1G FB Open Thread

Wisconsin can really help the B1G by pasting BYU to the turf.

The computers have this one at BYU (+10) and +/- 52 or so. I think that Wisconsin will put 49 on them and win by 30.

The B1G needs someone other than Ohio State to stand up and kick arse.

My picks for week 11:
Penn State @ Minnesota: Basically a pick 'em here. Minnesota is probably the surprise team of the B1G this year while Penn State is reeling after that blowout in Columbus. I'll take the hot team at home. Minnesota by just 1.

Iowa @ Purdue: Purdue won't win a Big Ten game this year. Iowa plays a tough style of football and should be able to overwhelm the Boilermakers in West Lafayette. Hawkeyes by 20.

Illinois @ Indiana: The Illini looked to be a nice story early in the season. However, they still haven't won a Big Ten game in two years. Indiana showed last week they can put up points week in and week out. Hoosiers by 10.

Nebraska @ Michigan: A game that probably looked nice when the schedule came out, but these two have underperformed. Nebraska needed a last-second heave to beat a struggling Northwestern squad and Michigan had its pride stomped on last week in East Lansing. Michigan pulls this one out in the Big House by 3.

BYU @ Wisconsin: An interesting non-conference game late in the season for Wisconsin. BYU poses the stiffest test remaining for the Badgers and hasn't lost since September. Taysom Hill is a solid quarterback and the Cougars will put up points, but the Badgers win by a touchdown.

With Hoke's mastery of motivation and in game adjustments (aka standing on the sidelines looking fat, stupid and utterly lost without a headset), if Nebraska can come out fast with a quick kick to the nads (aka early TD) it seems likely that the doom and gloom from last week will continue to snow ball for the sun and blue.

Penn State at State of Denial: Denial is way out in front on this one, but what about at Minnesota? The lions have that big 5th quarter win over the wolverinnies and Minnie has been surprising folks since they got to the easy part of their schedule. I like the home location for these two, so go with the gophers.
Iowa at Purdue: I like the team in black and yellow in this contest. Boiler down!
Illinois at Indiana: Lately the Hoo's there folks haven't been putting up many points. If Illinois is going to break their string this is the game that will do it. Illini by 7.
Nebraska at Michigan: two teams I can't figure out, but at least the wolverines defense shows up now and then.
Wolverines.
BYU at Wiscy: If bucky can't pull this one out, the Buckeyes can kiss the NCG good-bye.
Northwestern at Bye: Where was this game three weeks ago? Too late to save the Mildcats now. They'll have to hope they beat Michigan or Illinois to get to the Slim Pickens Bowl in scenic, fun-filled Saskatchewan.
Bye at Ohio State: The Bucks can mail in the results on this one.
