2013 TSUN shenanigans and arguments

But, to simply point a finger, your biggest problem is under center right now

I don't know why he fumbles all the time:

with the way the offensive line is playing, he's our only option really. The last thing they want to do is put a true frosh back there who is less mobile. It'll be interesting to see if there is any kind of line shakeup during this bye week.

Lewan has been the lone exception upfront but he definitely cost himself money. The last draft didn't have an elite qb and many were projecting Lewan for the number one overall pick. At
this point he is projected closer to 10th.

This draft has a glut of elite quarterbacks as well as Mr Clowney.

I would not say Lewan has had a strong year so far though naturally some of that stems from the other issues upfront, especially since the back will almost always be busy helping elsewhere. Or the fact that Gardner is being pushed back every snap by a collapsing pocket, which mixes poorly with his penchant for bailing backwards right into the path of outside rushers.

Auburn fans have always said Borges is out of his element with dual threat QBs. But a lot of this is Gardner. He has to grow into the position. This is just his sophomore season at QB. And his offensive line has issues. TSUN is "stuck" with Gardner, good and bad! If you let him run too much he'll get hurt and then all bets are off!

The defense is playing pretty well. To me, the glaring issue is Borges. Both Akron and UCONN have seemed to know exactly what was going to be called and when. I'm just not a fan of his. He seems to be the weak spot, in my IMO. Add to the fact that Gardner seems to be a mental case when things aren't going his way, and it's a bad combination.

it tends to happen when you run THE SAME EXACT PLAY every first down...
i would make a comparison, but it's nudging into bashing territory...

Gardner is a 5th year senior. He doesn't have the luxury of being able to "grow" into the position...

EDIT: he might even be a 6th year senior...

WTF?? Thank you, I have to go bleach my eyeballs now.
Gotta give credit where credit is due on that one.
Thought of this a few weeks ago, but am finally bored enough with class that I got around to doing it.

He played in week 4 and also travelled with the team to road games and dressed with pads on... But he was "injured"

With a hard to diagnose back injury- Rodriguez was bringing his West Virginia trailer park street smarts strong on that one.

I'm just happy the NCAA is such a fine organization that can be depended on to see through shenanigans and keep everything on the up and up.
