They are trying to "spin" it as just a "letdown" but Gardner got exposed. He goes to his primary receiver(Gallon)? 90% of the time. He's still playing like a talented freshman. Their secondary got exposed. Their defensive line got exposed. Their punting got exposed. They just got exposed as a team and ND at Purdue verifies that thinking. ND this year is average. With a weak secondary.

the defensive line has been exposed since the first game. The 4 man rush is getting ZERO pressure on the QB vs anyone and is causing the secondary to have to cover people way too long. When you're giving the QB 5-6 seconds to throw the damn ball, your secondary is going to get shredded. Mattison needs to just suck it up and start dialing more blitzes up. I think that would take care of those two issues.

So you need that game to realize the O-line(Center and Left Guard) are not very good. Devin F(TE) cannot block water vapor. The D-line is not very good and we really only have one WR. Most knew that week 1. I was willing to give Miller a chance at center, but he got man handled by CMU from day one. The D-line is just not very good a pass rushing, I am pretty sure the Hand kid could start today.

Gorgeous Borges needs to realize we have TE's and some good ones. Gardner needs to realize he's not superman and cannot make every play. It's ok to throw the ball away and fight another day.

Purdue only plays well against two teams ND and OSU, so I need at least one more game out of ND before I judge. After watching Michigan now I am going to guess we lose at least 3 now, NW, MSU and OSU. Simple because the D-line and O-line are just not that good, and it's really two players LG and Center.

I always love it when Scum fans start talking about replacing their existing starters with their backups as a solution for the problems. The very same coaches that last week were geniuses can not evaluate who is the best player this week.

I'd like to see them at least give Green a chance. He's only got 16 carries, and most of those came in game 1. He looks to me like the type of back that would get better over the course of the game. Giving him 1 carry and then putting him back on the bench is going to do anything.
