"I don't care if we are playing Saline High School or the Super Bowl champs, you can't turn the ball over," Michigan coach Brady Hoke said.
"We almost lost to Akron, no disrespect to Akron," Devin Gardner said (failing to mention his 3 interceptions and fumble on the day)
"This is embarrassing for the University of Michigan football team...Yeah, we won the game," Lewan said, sounding and looking furious in a postgame news conference. "We're 3-0, that's great. It was embarrassing."
The key to stopping Michigan is getting pressure on Gardner while not allowing him to break containment. He is more accurate with his passes this year but he does not "read" the routes and goes to his primary WR almost every time. When he gets pressure he is much more likely to chuck it up. I am beginning to think that MSU will give them a game.
If MSU can get a defensive score, probably. Sparty's defense is very good, but Bollman gonna Bollman.
Hoke almost lost and should have lost to Ohio again.
He did fumble a large pepperoni pie leaving domino's, though.Good news, scummers... Gardner didn't throw any picks today!
Actually he should have lost to Akron.
There is no almost lost, you win or you lose. I do like how people get all worked up over one game, and it goes both ways. A big win and some think the NC is a cake walk, a bad game win or lose and the team is falling apart.
In 2002 Cincinnati football 7-7 was beat on a goal line stand with under a min left by the team who went on to win nc.
Bad games happen, life moves on, it was a win. The worst win I have seen, like Hoke said, we're not a top ten team and they proved it.
