You can add to that list Trek, Specialized, Kuota, BMC, Kestrel, Felt, Fuji, Pinarello, Parlee, et al, for bikes that can approach or exceed $10k...

I have a 2012 Trek Madonne so it's not like I haven't spent a few thousand on a high end bike.I could have gone big bucks($10K+) but I'm just too conservative at heart. Lots of exotic bikes where I live. Lots of outrageous mountain bikes, too!

Didn't see Serotta on your list :wink2: Oh, how I do love my custom Ottrott. She is sweeeeet.

Those were the brands I could recall off the top of my head, with all the different types of bikes riden in my triathlon group. Haven't seen a Serotta in person yet...

Great stage today. Disappointed that Van Garderen could not pull it off, but one heck of an effort. Forty-seven seconds from 2nd to 5th makes for a great podium competition the next two days.

And as secure as Froome looks it is not a lock. There has never been a stage quite like today - which means they have never been asked to recover from a stage like today. And tomorrow they are back in the mountains.

Although Froome himself did not violate any rules, if gaining a competitive advantage by violating rules (albeit by a teammate) is not cheating it comes close. Van Garderent lost almost a minute in just the last two kilometers because he had hit the wall. Froome also was hitting the wall but got an illegal boost from a teammate. He could easily have lost another two or more minutes and proved himself vulnerable. I doubt he will be beaten, but it is not in the bag just yet.

The first winner of the Tour was Maurice Garin(1903).He was a smoking, chimney sweep. He won again in 1904 but was later found to have cheated.
