2013 NFL Week 5 Open Thread

18/11 run/pass. They are running it.

I think the Kaep hype was a little overboard. But, he's a good QB working with horrific receivers. Boldin is a complimentary guy, not a #1...especially when literally nobody else can get open. I won't judge him until he gets some legit targets other than one receiver and a banged up TE. Hard to start any niners fantasy-wise right now on offense. They just aren't good.
Gotcha, I'd only been watching passively and just saw the 3 passes to start the 2nd half drive.

Came back with 2 runs and got it to 3rd and medium before an incomplete the next drive. Guess I'm just being greedy with Frank. :biggrin2:

Being a Niners fan, it's frustrating to watch them offensively. They have a potential Ferrari under center, with a very good stable of RBs and maybe the best OL in the league, yet he has shit to throw to. It's not personnel failuresm (well, maybe a little, A.J. Jenkins turned out to be a steaming turd), it's injury driven. Losing Crabtree and Manningham before the season started looks like a killer. On top of that, Vernon Davis is playing banged up. Crabtree could be back in November, but until then, they might have the worst receiving core in the NFL. It's really bad.

The Niners have a good defense, but it's not up to the standards of the past two years. Offensively, they're mush. Unless they catch fire when Crabtree comes back (if he's near 100%), they're gonna struggle to make the playoffs.
