2013 NFL Draft Discussion

Greg Powers ‏@GPowers79

Kyle Long was now drafted higher than other members of that orig Block O. Adams, Brewster, Shugarts, Jenkins and had the least amount of exp

LOL WUT? Least amount of exposure? His last name is "Long" - son of an NFL HOFer and brother of a top-5 pick. I'm pretty sure that gave him more of the kind of exposure that matters in the draft than all those other guys had combined. It's pretty much the reason anybody knew who he was in the first place and the main reason why the Bears reached for him last night.

I get that people are using this draft as an excuse to hammer Ohio State's 2008 recruiting class one last time, but there's no need to exaggerate to do it.

I think "exp", in this case, means experience

I'm so glad I stayed up to watch my Cowboys screw up again :( hopefully next year we'll do better with our top 5 pick.
Can't believe that Travis Frederick was the first B1G player taken.

The Cowboys Oline is a mess - might not be a flashy pick, but it helps solidify the protection (lack of) that Romo was getting.

All I can remember this year was watching the Browns Dline abuse the interior Oline of Dallas.

Now that I re-read that... probably so. Still, I think it's an unfair implied dig on the other players he named - or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I agree with you. Long is looked at as more malleable due to his inexperience at the position. Of course, he's also a bigger headache than Adams was, to say nothing of the other two.

that guy would have been on the board in the 3rd round. that's why cowboys fans are pissed. they traded down for a pittance, then drafted a guy 2 rounds too early.

You know I don't hate Gruden, he treats the backup left guard like the next Barry Sanders, but I also like him usually. But his Honey Badger bullshit last night was sickening...maybe if he had done his homework he would have realized that the character issues that he was blowing off were, uh, "significant and ongoing". Wake up, Chuck(y) :shake:
