At least they made Gonzaga work for it the entire game. Commendable effort by Southern.

Good job Sean Miller and the Arizona Wildcats (a 81-64 winner), a lot of people predicted Belmont for the upset.

Kudos to Mark Ryan who was 8-15 from the field and scoring 23 points. He reunited with Arizona coach Sean Miller this season (i.e. transferred from Xavier). Basically he had to "redshirt" his freshman year (i.e. did not play) as he was a "partial qualifier". He played the next 3 seasons and graduated in 4 years; therefore, he was allowed to transfer to Arizona without sitting out a year.
