2013 All-Big Ten Football Teams/Awards

I think my opinion is based more on how I feel about Carlos, but I haven't seen, nor do I want to see, anyone else that can do that.

Don't get it twisted, I think Borland is a great LB.

Im just looking at the numbers and with the school playing a fairly equal schedule, I would give the nod to Shazier.

Shazier has 20 more solo tackles, 20 more total tackles, equal TFL, more sacks, same pass def, more forced fumbles.

I'm not getting anything twisted. I just think Borland is probably the better linebacker. Sure I think Ryan is a superior athlete playing linebacker, but I'd love to have a guy like Borland on this team. Hell I'd love to have the kid we play this week from MSU as well. I'm not saying that I'd trade Shazier for either of them, but I will say if we have either one of them on this team right now, there ain't a thread asking about what's wrong with the defense IMO.

I don't know why, but I'm getting one hell of a kick reading all the comments from indignant Spartan fans defending COY based on the idea that they suck most of the time.
I stopped caring about that award 10 years ago when it became obvious that it's nothing more than a Politically Correct Participation Award for overachievers... bring home the Championship, and COY can go to whatever halfwit over-achieved this year.

Dantonio wins COY

Eleven Warriors ‏@11W2m
It's now been 34 years since an Ohio State coach has won the B1G's Coach of the Year award. OSU has four unbeaten regular seasons in span.

There was actually a graphic put up during the Dantonio presser showing how many undefeated BIG seasons the Buckeyes have had since a Buckeye coach had won a COY award and it was even more mind bending.
