Since we're cherry-picking, what are your thoughts on the Buckeyes now after losing by 10 at home to three-loss Iowa?So what are your thoughts on ND now, now that they have upset Duke WITHOUT their star player Grant who had a big 18 points against OSU?
I'm ready to acknowledge that the Buckeyes really are among the top 10 teams in the nation.

I hope that happens too, but that really wasn't what I was responding to in my post.Clearly they aren't as good as they were at the end of last season at this point. But there's a long way to go. A few guys finding their stride shooting the ball, and this team takes off just like last year.
Thomas is doing what he wants to do - playing basketball and getting paid. And even though it's not his top goal of the NBA, it isn't minimum wage either. I imagine he's happier where he is than he would be if he was still in Columbus. Hopefully he can still fulfill his NBA dream. It's a shame Deshaun Thomas left prematurely, only to end up playing in France. If he had stuck around for his senior season this team's prospects would be as good as any other.
Not to put words into Jake's mouth... but I'm pretty sure his point is that if Thomas would have stayed in Columbus his experience and scoring capacity would have Ohio State as one of the top 5 teams in the country, not that Thomas didn't make the best decision for him and his family.Thomas is doing what he wants to do - playing basketball and getting paid. Based on my limited observation, I believe Thomas wanted to be done with college and wanted that behind him. If he didn't want to be at tOSU any longer, its really hard to tell what a difference he would have made. If he gave the same effort he gave last year would he have made a difference? Most definitely. Probably still undefeated, ranked number 1, with a strong shot to win it all. If his heart wasn't in it, who knows. We have the players we have.
