The Big Ten champion just beat the Pac 12 champion.

A Big Ten team played an ACC to the wire.

Since the Big Ten had one of its worst teams in scUM playing KSU (who was slightly better than average in the Big 12) this is just another unfounded assertion not supported by available evidence.

Unsure, although it's debatable whether the B1G matches up well with the ACC big 12 or the Pac 12. The B1G bowl record speaks for itself. Why defend it.

Actually it doesn't, without further analysis.

B1G teams are consistently seeded in bowls above their competency because our schools are big, they represent sizeable media markets, and their fans travel well. As a result our teams are more attractive to bowls than their talent would dictate, and we usually play teams that are a lot better -- not because of the other conferences' competency, but more because of their schools' relative feebleness in what they bring from advertising and attendance perspectives.
