2012 TSUN football news

This just in...

All must watch the Senior Bowl coming up. Hairlice is going to play wide receiver.

Hairlice @ Receiver

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was one of the most dynamic players in college football history. His 4,495 rushing yards set the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision career record for rushing yards by a quarterback.

Robinson, however, won't play quarterback in the NFL. He never has been an accurate passer or made the best decisions in the passing game.

Robinson has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl as a receiver and will play some running back, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Does Martinez have a 6th year at Nebraska? Sparty needs a QB, the Little Brown Jug isn't leaving for Minneapolis, Purdue has a new coach, Rutgers isn't ready for another year and Northwestern has accomplished about all they can reasonably expect to accomplish, this will be year three of the no-slot-dot recruiting program.... oh, wait, I forgot about Indiana.

If Gardner gets his medical red shirt this wolverine team has a near lock on the division and then gets the Buckeyes at home. Stranger things have happened.

Not sure what you're talking about in a sixth year for Martinez. He was redshirted in '09, making '13 his fifth year. Also, not sure what you're basing the dismissal of Northwestern on, but I saw one commentator had them at #2 in the Big Ten next year behind OSU, and scUM goes to Evanston. Also, not sure what you're talking about when you say Sparty needs a QB--Andrew Maxwell threw for over 2,600 yards last year and was only a junior.

Looking at their schedule and considering their other losses, to call them a lock for the division is a bit quick on the trigger.

does osu play Northwestern next year? I swear, any time Northwestern has been good in the past 20 years, which is now, and the year they went to the Rose Bowl with Darnell Autry, they didn't get to match up with osu.

Yes, October 5 in Evanston.

They didn't get to? More like they won a title or two in years where they didn't have to play tOSU.

Actually, that isn't true.

In 2008, they were 9-4 (which is what their record would've been this year, had they played OSU instead of some also-ran Big Ten team), and they were pasted 45-10 at the hands of OSU.

In 2005, they were 7-5 (good by Northwestern standards) and OSU beat them 48-7.
