2012 tOSU Media Day - August 12th

The head coach even suggested that it?s not out of the realm of possibility that there could be a package this season that would have both quarterbacks on the field at the same time.

?Braxton doesn?t know it yet, and neither does Kenny,? Meyer said. ?But I have it on a piece of paper. We?ll have that chat probably pretty soon. I just want to see if they keep developing. If both guys are in our best 11, then it?s our job to find a way to get them on the field.?

Interesting. I remember a while back someone mentioned that they could see KG on the field with Braxton, and it got seemingly shot down by others (myself included). Someone could still have the last laugh.

I could see Read Options, Misdirections, and Miller lining up out wide in this package of plays. Anything that confuses opposing defenses, I'm all for. Especially considering how vanilla our offense was last season.

The team took their team photo & pics in uniform without the media before 1 pm.

They came over for interviews at 1:20 wearing their jerseys with street clothes, like they do when they are out with an injury but on the sidelines.

Media Day: Meyer sums up a week of camp
August, 12, 2012
By Austin Ward | ESPN.com
Notes and quotes from Ohio State coach Urban Meyer's press conference on Sunday afternoon during the program's annual Media Day.

STONE TURNED: The depth at tight end might not qualify as a surplus, but it certainly allowed for some flexibility.

And with perhaps a more pressing need at wide receiver, Ohio State is planning to lean on the options in reserve and sending its projected started at tight end elsewhere to lend a set of hands.

The Buckeyes had hinted at a different role for senior Jake Stoneburner during the first week of camp as he lined up all over the field and turned in some big plays deep down the field. And while he'll still line up at times in his more familiar position, Stoneburner is officially listed at a new one.

"He meets with the receivers," Meyer said. "He?ll practice (tight end) at times, because we?ll use him as a surface tight end, but we have two very good tight ends in [Jeff] Heuerman and Nick Vannett, so he?s going to be our [Aaron] Hernandez-type guy, the guy that can do some things."

Two-Minute Drill: OSU Media Day Updates
By Brandon Castel

COLUMBUS — Ohio State didn’t practice on Sunday, but the Buckeyes were at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for the team’s fall media day.

OSU head coach Urban Meyer spoke to us for about 20-25 minutes before handing things over to the players. We got to speak to a number of guys, including most of the freshmen and some of the guys returning from injury.

Jake Stoneburner, Jack Mewhort and Bri’onte Dunn were not made available Sunday, but there were plenty of updates about all of them.

This is Adolphus Washington. At 6'4 289 lbs (Down 6 since enrolling).

To quote OSU_Buckguy, be very afraid of the man that does not look anywhere close to his weight.
