2012 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

Muck;2091907; said:
Joey O'Connor #102 ... +3 (105)
Bri'onte Dunn #138 ... -2 (136)
Josh Perry #146 ... -4 (142)
David Perkins #159 ?
Warren Ball #193 ... +35 (228)
Taylor Decker #221
... -6 (215)

All position rankings remained the same.

If you look at my last two posts in the Buckeye Verbal Commitments 2012 thread you can check on all of the changes. The last post is after the latest Rivals (and now ESPN) changes. The post just above it is with the previous numbers. (FYI that's why I repost the lists after changes rather than just editing...so there is a record of the changes).
Call me a suck up all you like.......but you guys are incredible. Thanks for all the work you do.

...maybe pass scUM on Scout for the #3 spot.

We would for sure pass Texas and Michigan.

On Scout, Reeves is a 4-star and is the #6 CB. A 4-star rating worth 120 points and being #6 at a position is 95 points, for a total of 215 points per their scoring system. We are currently 102 points behind Michigan (4075 vs. 4177). His commitment would put us at 4290 points, or 113 points ahead of them, and into the #3 ranking. We'd still be 264 points behind Texas' total of 4554 points for #2.

Thanks, I wasn't sure how exactly the point system worked. Looks like a good chance to be a concensus top 3 class when the ink dries.

I think you mean scout. Reeves is the 6th rated corner there. I was saying we would pass Michigan on Scout (about 100 points behind) and Texas on Rivals (around 40 points behind).

Looking at how the Buckeye commits stack up on between the various recruiting sites I listed where each service ranks the recruits in relation to one another.

For example Rivals has Warren Ball rated highest followed by Scout & 247 with ESPN ranking him the lowest.

I didn't count Cardale Jones & Michael Thomas as prep school kids aren't included in the same rankings. I also listed Scout & 247 both in 2nd place for Camren Williams as their rankings were so close.

Anyways on to the numbers...

Scout:
Highest - 8
2nd Highest - 6
2nd Lowest - 5
Lowest - 2

Rivals:
Highest - 7
2nd Highest - 9
2nd Lowest - 2
Lowest - 3

247:
Highest - 3
2nd Highest - 6
2nd Lowest - 8
Lowest - 4

ESPN:
Highest - 3
2nd Highest - 1
2nd Lowest - 5
Lowest - 12

Can someone explain..how scUM is still rated above us by espn? I get they have 1 more commit...but we have 1 more all important espn150 player. I know with Spence we have the highest rated player between the 2 schools. Is there some of that new math going on here..or are we like .000002% behind them because of an extra commit?

It's just ESPiN doing their "bash all things Ohio State" thang.
Don't pay no mind!
Just wait till 2013 and watch how pissed they are! :oh:

The ESPN rankings are as of Thursday. The Camren Williams commitment is not taken into account.
