2012 NBA Finals: Thunder vs Heat (OK to bet)

On top of this is the fact that ESPN and the national media contend that Cleveland didn't do enough to keep him when Miami was shredding salary to clear space for him - while putting an inferior product on the court around DWade.

Cleveland did A LOT more to build around Lebron than Miami did to build around Dwyane Wade. But it was ok because Miami is a nicer place to live.

If the Cavs had known about the collusion, they wouldn't have wasted their time trying desperately to make Lebron happy. They'd have traded him and gotten something in return.

Damnit! Now I'm getting pissed again at all the assholes telling us to get over it. Fuck you people.

not only that, but cleveland wouldn't have been making trades to take on guys like antawn jamison, or wally-world. they would have been dealing expirings at a time when they were worth a lot to get young talent and draft picks. basically, they would have been making moves like the mo williams trade and the hickson to sactown deal well in advance of his departure.

all that being said, it's still taking lebron playing out of his mind and some shoddy officiating for them to be where they are. not much different than cleveland at all, except for the amount of effort put in by lebron.

Wade and the officiating/rules of the NBA have now made this product unbearable to enjoy. I find myself screaming at the TV and calling them all pussies rather than enjoying good basketball. Wade played absolutely terrible in the 2nd half last night and every time a good defensive play foiled his flopping ass attempts at scoring he ran around yelling screaming crying and whining to anyone that would listen with the biggest babyface. 75% of the players in this league would have been riding the bench in the late 80s and early 90s based solely on the fact that they are weak minded pussies. I want to see Bill and the badboys show up for just one game and take one of these stupid son of a bitches heads off and then stand over there calling them clowns. Everything is a foul in today's NBA and the stars are allowed to throw temper tantrums at every turn. I'd throw most starting fives out by halftime if I were officiating - fuck em.

what makes this all the more comical was that the nba instituted that rule this year that allows refs to give technicals to guys that complain about calls. what the rule really should say is that the refs give out technicals when someone has the balls to call them out for one of their pathetic superstar bailout "fouls". i can guarantee that if thabo sefalosha acted like wade does, he'd get a T. Sefalosha had a legit right to complain after wade fouled him twice on that break away, and there was not a whistle to be found. had someone done that to wade, he would have acted like he was shot by a sniper.

That first half was brutal officiating, helping the Thunder moreso but bad both ways. It was refreshing to see the players decide the 4th quarter without them getting in the way.

I really wish Wade was replaced by another top guard, because this is pretty entertaining basketball otherwise. LeBron has some theatrics but he usually rushes back to steal/block/stop his opponent after missing or being fouled on his last shot. Van Gundy harped on it multiple times but keeps stopping short of pointing out Wade was to blame for not hustling back on defense.

Miami 31-35 from the line. OKC was 15-24. That's the game right there.
and precisely why this series isn't over.

OKC played poorly for most of game 2 and almost stole it. I would say Miami outplayed them significantly in game 3 as well yet it was still close.

Miami is outclassing them, which is to be expected to some extent (though Fisher making so many blunders is not).

They did miss a pivotal play by Lebron on a saved ball that hit the back of the backboard. Chalmers ended up scoring on the free possession.

And they missed Spoelstra running and screaming on the court at Westbrook on his otherwise wide-open chance at a game-tying 3. He was basically a 6th defender on that play. But I know it would have violated the league's unwritten policy never to "T" up the Heat.

I didn't think Wade fouled Sefalosha. I thought that was a relatively clean play.

And one of my biggest gripes. LeBron owned James Harden in the 4th. If the refs hadn't ripped Durant of 6 mins in the third quarter, and he only had 2 fouls instead of 4, he'd have been on LeBron in the 4th.

To the people (not necessarily here) who say get over the officiating, bad calls happen, etc....it's more than that. The bad officiating led to a huge advantage down the stretch, not just the specific time the call was made. The 4 ridiculous fouls Durant had not only allowed the Heat to get back into the game and make a late surge in the third, but it also forced OKC to put a weak defender in Harden on LeBron b/c they had to protect KD.

The officiating has just been horrid and game altering the entire series....

Here is the Sefalosha play. Wade clearly drills him on the head, which is why Sefalosha goes off after the play. That's an obvious and 1.

here's spoelstra running on the court like a chump. That should be a technical. Joey Crawford certainly can't say he didn't see it happen.

They had an angle on replay during the game that showed it was a brush on the head, if anything at all. I thought he nailed him too when I was watching it live. But after seeing the replay, I thought it was a good no call in that situation.

Total bushleague. I saw it live and couldn't understand why a tech wasn't called. He's right in front of the fucking official.

There were a few calls but okc made soooo many grade school mistakes...

Not putting a body on 1 offensive rebounder vs 4, time and time again.

Flinging the ball across multiple defenders or just plain chucking it out of bounds on routine passes.

Leaping into three point shooters then doing it again, which turned around a big lead.

Or harden repeating his charging mistakes in crunch time again this time on the receiving end
