2012 British Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes

Is Snedecker ready for prime time and a major win? He ripped it up today that is for sure. I think it would be interesting to see Adam Scott and Tiger playing together one of the days over the weekend....

I think an Open win for Brandt would be great. I think the whole country got kinda interested in this kid during the 2008 Masters in which he was in contention the whole way until his disasterous 77 in the final round. His demeanor on the course is refreshing. He not only resembles a young Tom Watson in appearance but he gives that same Tom smile that is genuine and lets you know that he's really having fun at what he does.

Would love to see him join Bubba and Webb in the "Majors" club. Always cool to see young American players hitting it big!

Peace

Nothing like eating a little breakfast a good cup of joe and watching the Open. It was great to see T Watson and John, don't you love my outfits, Daly make the cut.

And what is up with this Dufner kid? It seems like if it isn't a major you don't see hide nor hair of him in other tournaments. Yet, if it is a major he seems to be in contention as of late.

Don't know if anyone is watching right now but they showed people in random outfits in the crowd. Guy wearing a tiger suit, people in red and white wigs, but the one I noticed was a guy in a Union Jack tobogan and I realized it was the same guy (Bird man) who interrupted Webb Simnpson's trophy ceremony at Olympic!

I've been watching a ton of coverage of The Open and I gotta say I love the "Flight Tracker" camera view. The PGA on CBS does it occasionally, but it's always on the replay. I'm enjoying how ESPN has done it live and often, even shots from the fairway. I really enjoy the discussion of ball flight and shot making and the "Flight Tracker" camera does an incredible job of highlighting just how differently the ball travels from player-to-player, shot-to-shot.

I caught those guys earlier as well Thump. Oh those crazy Brits. Adam Scott is just looking to run away and hide with this thing right now. Sned is pulling a similar melt down to the one he had in the Masters. I have to say that I am impressed with the young lad playing with Tiger. He is hanging tough and does not seem one bit intimidated.

And a pet peeve is these aholes that yell get in the hole on every shot Tiger hits.....so 5 years ago.....

Colsaerts shoots bookend 65s to become the first player to shoot 2 rounds of 65 in the Open and not win it...

Should be an interesting day for the final round with a good stiff wind blowing. I don't think it will be a walk in the park for Scott and I think McDowell may just make it interesting.
