Some numbers for the weekend...

OSU Pitching staff: 7 HBP, 10 BB, 3 WP

Pitching newcomers: Brian King, Jaron Long and Trace Dempsey: 10 IP 0.90 ERA

Starting pitching: 2.84 ERA. All three starters were on a pretty low pitch count and that is to be expected early on.

Carroll, Hallberg & Dezse combined 17 for 36 with 12 RBIs

Kirby Pellant stole 4 bases. Delucia led OSU with 9 all of last year.

OSU Fielding % .945

Bucks were sloppy, but the teams they played were a bit more sloppy. I'll take it! A lot of positives to take away from this weekend (starting pitch was solid, newcomers played well, ect.)...just need to cut down on the gifts. GA Tech won't be so charitable next weekend...they will make us earn it.

Not a bad weekend all things considered. I figured the rotation would be the weak spot on this team. Still not sold on McKinney, but King pitched great and Greve has a lot of potential. Excited to see how all these newcomers do next weekend.

I'm sure Ga. Tech will be upset after dropping the opener out of the gate the Kent State (which is a GREAT program right now, by the way).

But anytime you can get 2 of 3 and the 2 were against NCAA tourney teams from a year ago you can't complain.
