2011 TSUN shenanigans and arguments (off season)

that's what I don't understand about Cooper. I've heard a lot over the years about him "not getting the rivalry" either because he was an outside guy brought in, but dang, since he left coaching, he's been a pretty large staple at osu. I mean he still has an office at osu right? is he still on the osu payroll in some capacity? Like the poster said, he was in NO supporting, for an outsider who couldn't beat Michigan, he sure seems to have embraced the buckeye lifestyle, even long after his tenure was over.

"get the rivalry" = beat the rival (at least 1/2 the time)

I think that's probably true for both sides.

He's a HOF coach Mike. The outside world could care less if he couldn't beat a certain team. Inside the walls however...

I think it had more to do with his yearly stance that The Game was "just another game on the schedule". That's the way he treated it, and it showed year after year in the results.

Michigan came in focused and ready to win year after year, while the Buckeyes looked like deers caught in the headlights.

It's also why JT made it a point to mention how many days away the Michigan game was during his halftime speech of the Ohio State basketball game. It was the complete reverse of Coopers stance.

He was fired for his inability to beat TSUN.

However, he did bring us Eddie George, Orlando Pace, and various other players that will be forever remembered in Buckeye lore

That guys was dickrod's staunchest supporter over there...the avatar makes perfect sense.

His signature, without a hint of irony or sarcasm, used to be "2012 Big Ten Champs!"
