2011 SEC Football Discussion

I don't think Cam would have still been around if he had not transferred. We will never know, but if the rumors are true, he strategically got out before the hammer. But I can't thank his dad enough for that, "This time we don't sign for nothing" quote to Miss St.
Cam would have taken over as a senior in 2010 and prevented that season from going so badly. They might have also considered redshirting him in 2009 to give him two years of starting for UF.

Josh, I'm saying, not if he was kicked out of school for academic fraud. Those were the allegations, and the school is prohibited from commenting on those. So I don't know if that is Gospel, but I am saying that his continued presence as a starting Gator QB was not a forgone conclusion.

DIGTBCR works better in Florida.

In Bama, that method of walking around is risking a shovel full of poisonous manure instead of a handshake.

Right, I'm simply looking at how the 2010 roster should have looked.

Transferred is a loose word, he obviously didn't go to juco for more playing time. He was in a load of trouble on many fronts.

P.s. Hoke would kill for Floyd, Powell, Bostic, Brown, Reed. He would even love Brantley

There is definitely some good talent at Florida and the East is wide-assed open this year.

It's going to be real interesting to see what FatBoy can do with Brantley. If he can make him even a serviceable QB, Florida will beat some folks on talent alone.

By the way, what's the preferred nickname for Fatboy around here?

I don't think we ever settled on just one:

Charlie Cheeseburger
Decided Seismatic Advantage
Fatass

All of those work.

Ahhh. Makes me miss the days that Phillip Fulmer was rolling the sidelines at Tennessee.

FatFill
The Great Pumpkin
The Philsbury Doughboy

Good times.

Steve Spurrier was classic...

When asked about the long leash he has given Stephen Garcia: ""I don't want to kick him out for stupidity."

Then the veiled jabs at Mississippi State's spending big money on private planes...classic Spurrier.
