2011 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

I don't think the SEC can match up with our coaches though.

We've got the Don of the organization: Paterno and his number 2 (not that one) Dantonio

We've got a 92 B1G COY winner: Ferentz

We've got some sort of hitman: Kill

We've got the greatest scholly offerer ever: Zook

We've got a coach who makes women throw up: Bielema

We've got one coach who goes by two names: Hoke and Hope

Plus we have the world's greatest volleyball friend: Wilson

We've got Edmunds' and Ellas' son: Fitzgerald (How did a lady and a ship procreate... Slow and ploddingly)

and also some chap named Tressel.

QUARTERBACK

Braxton Miller
bullet.gif
Cardale Jones
2. OHIO STATE

Miller could be the quarterback of the future for the Buckeyes. He's the top-rated dual-threat quarterback nationally and has been a high priority for Ohio State for some time. Picking up Jones late was another good sign because the Glenville star has all the physical tools.
TIGHT END

Nick Vannett

Jeff Heuerman
2. (tie) OHIO STATE

Vannett is a big pickup for the Buckeyes and his commitment stuck since last summer. His offer list was extensive and rightfully so. Heuerman can split out wide and do a lot of things. Even though he has great size, he's not slow and can be a mismatch problem.

LINEBACKER

Curtis Grant

Ryan Shazier

Conner Crowell

Ejuan Price
2. OHIO STATE

The Buckeye class is headlined by Grant, the nation's top linebacker and No. 2 prospect regardless of position. He made Ohio State fans sweat things out before making a signing day decision. Shazier may have played defensive end in high school but showed potential at his new position during the Under Armour week.

1. NOTRE DAME

Though some will likely play linebacker in the Irish 3-4 defense, there is no denying this is one of the most dominant jobs a team has ever done recruiting one position. Five-stars Tuitt and Williams, and Rivals100 prospects Lynch and Councell were all huge gets. Nobody else was even close to Notre Dame at this position.
