Let?s just say coach Paul Mainieri and his coaching staff aren?t huge fans of the MLB draft. The Tigers were blindsided last summer when Brody Colvin signed at the last second. They were hit twice in the same fashion this year. The Tigers expected first-rounder Zach Lee to stay with the football team this fall, opting out of a chance to sign with the Dodgers. However, the Dodgers went well over-slot and signed him for $5.25 million. LSU lost Lucas LeBlanc, an 11th-rounder, on deadline day for $500,000. Garin Cecchini, another signee, signed for $1.31 million. Besides the signees the Tigers lost, they also now are without veterans Anthony Ranaudo, Austin Ross, Micah Gibbs, Leon Landry and Blake Dean.

he's gotten playing time in all but 1 (maybe 2) games.
3 for 5 at the plate so far.

hit a double last sunday that woulda been a single for most people.
dude definitely has SEC speed :biggrin:.

I think he could push Trey Watkins for the leadoff spot and starting left fielder. But he's leaving in a week or so for spring football.

LSU finishes off the sweep of Holy Cross by winning game thee 15-4.


Tuesday will be our best competition so far.
Southeastern Louisiana is probably the 2nd best team in state (they smoked Tulane last week(.

This amazing weather has helped bring some big crowds to The Box so far.
SLU being less than a hour drive from Baton Rouge should make for another sell out.
