Scout $ - Does Michigan Lead For Butler?
By Christopher Smith
GoBlueWolverine.com

Posted Jan 29, 2010

Has played TB as well as split out as a receiver in the slot... Attended the last scUM junior day & came away impressed by the facilities... Has been a _ichigan fan growing up in Columbus... Lists the weasels as his leader...

I found this really odd. Bill Greene had an interview with him 10 or so days ago and he was singing a completely different tune. He said in it, that were Ohio State to offer, he'd accept on the spot. Doesn't sound like a longtime Michigan fan, lol.

That particular interview is titled "Is Butler Next For A Buckeye 2011 Offer?
premiumsml.gif
", (at the bottom of the page) but once you click on it, is no longer available on the Scout Network...

ETA: I found the full article a few pages back on the Scout premium board. Butler contradicts himself by saying the following in it: "I grew up a Buckeye fan, and have dreamed about playing for them all my life."

Athletic big man with an offer from Ball State. Plays at Withrow, which is Division 1, but their schedule is a little weak, i.e. going 8-2 and missing the playoffs.

I like him as a guard. Don't see a natural at defensive tackle.

I really like the way he gets after it on the clips when he's pulling. Good initial punch but still needs some work I'd like to see him get a look at camp though. Short film but shows some nasty.

Looking forward to seeing him when Withrow comes over to play at Highlands this year. Last year we went to Withrow and won 21-0, a lot of those clips are from the Highlands game. I don't remember us having many sacks. I will try to get some good clips on him in August.
