My strategy this year was to hold off on taking a QB for as long as possible since after Weeden and Jones there seemed to be a few that were just about the same value.

I think/hope I got a steal with Gilbert in the 6th. The opportunities were there for him last year, and if he improves even a little bit I think he will put up stats comparable or better than a lot of the QBs taken earlier in the draft.

Fingers crossed.

My rationale behind taking a mobile QB early was the fact that rushing touchdowns account for more points than passing touchdowns...come on Mr. Griffin, its time for that monster year!

I was all set to take Randle. Had the post made with his photo. Had a change of heart and reached on Jordan Hall.
Hall offers a lot of versatility at that position, especially before Boom & Posey returns.

I'm high on Randle (looked at him in Rd 3). He registered double digits 6 times last year with 1/3 of Hunter's carries, thanks to 37 receptions. I think he's as safe a pick as there is in this lousy RB crop. Even if the others (like Sims) steal carries he should still be productive out of the backfield.

That was our scoring model last year right? 6 points for a rushing TD, 4 points for a passing TD. That's why I was so dominant with Cam Newton.
I really wish QBs weren't worth twice every other position, especially when Tannehill's sneak into the mix.

I have completely ignored the bye weeks for my picks. Probably should look into that from now on.
With the volume of players available in CFB, I usually try to draft the best starting lineup then worry about bye weeks with my depth guys.

Of course, that's also why 4 of my 6 picks are out week 5 and all but one are missing week 13 or 14

Okay, same old story today. Can we get three picks in before noon so I can get mine in before work?

Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State....he's a man, even if he's not 40.

Buckeye86 is up
