What is it about Meyer's porn stache that seems to have peaked a few poster's curiosity around here?

I don't think the Challenge this year really shows the Big Ten is a superior league on the national level, just that they are superior to the ACC. The ACC is littered with mediocre teams - I doubt many of those teams would finish with an above .500 record in a strong BCS conference. The fact that there is a concentration of mediocrity in the ACC will mean some of them will have to have a good record, but it's not like teams like MD, GT, FSU, BC, Miami, etc. are any good. The Big Ten also has several mediocre teams, but some of them were able to win games in the Challenge because the ACC is weaker. I suspect that OSU will be able to have a greater average margin of victory in Big Ten games this year than last year, even though the Challenge outcome would suggest the Big Ten has improved somewhat.

the argument has been over the past 20 years or so that since so many national champions have come out of the ACC, that the ACC is simply head and shoulders above everyone. Of course it has been an illogical argument, but the media bought into it big time.

Now that the B1G is winning the challenge, suddenly the media is not giving the B1G the same credit. Of course the B1G isn't producing National Champions either.

With that said, Bo is still a very good coach that gets a lot out of his limited talent. But the question has to become: is that talent limited because of Bo Ryan?

Ahh the O'Brien conundrum.

What you guys really need is some unknown European talent!

What league is better? I don't think any individual TEAM is better than OSU at this point, but if you look past whatever difference there is between OSU and the #1 team in the other BCS leagues, I think the Big East has more good teams. Syracuse is strong. UConn has a lot of talent and is a top-25 team. Marquette, also a top-25 team, is unbeaten and just won on the road at Wisconsin, something OSU hasn't done in 10 years. Louisville is undefeated and they are down a couple guys due to injury. Georgetown just won on the road at Alabama (same team that routed Purdue on a neutral court). DePaul was the worst team in the Big East last year and almost beat Minnesota (led most of the game). Villanova, St. John's, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Seton Hall are teams that should make the postseason (maybe not the NCAA tourney, but they add depth to the league). Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Rutgers and South Florida are bad, but so are PSU, Iowa and Nebraska. I don't know if the Big Ten has any good candidates for a S16 run other than OSU and ... INDIANA. Yes, I said it. I am saying Indiana is the second most talented team in the Big Ten. Now, they don't have the greatest defense, but they have the second-best offense in the league in my opinion. Of course the Big East has the advantage of having 4 more teams than the B10, but I don't really hold that against them.
