Cincinnati Bearcat Preview on CNNSI

Had a top 25 recruiting class last year, preseason top 25 ranked team... but they lost 5 seniors last year. Preview says they are more talented than last year but obviously a lot less experience. My guess is they are a top 6, maybe top 4 Big East team. The Dwags will have to play a pretty good game to beat the Bearcats.

Dawgs were nipped by 2 at Colorado last night :(
Need to beat Cincinnati and Georgia Tech to salvage our Pre-SEC Schedule.
I'm retracting my earlier statement. After seeing what Cincinnati has done so far this year Georgia has a decent chance of beating them... call it 49.9% or 50.1%, whichever you like. They play Miami (OH) tonight which will tell a bit more about the Bearcats.

Davis's eyebrows just kill me. Dude, trim that shit up! If he does, he is completely missing the middle!!

Good game by the Hoosiers, I think the Kats played like dog crap and are a better team. We will beat Indiana handily. They should, however, enjoy this win.

Dawgs beat a hot Tennessee team at home last night for their first conference win.
Getting alot of contribution from young players - these "pups" should develop into a good team next year if they can work through the growing pains.
It always surprises me that Georgia does not consistently do better in basketball with so much homegrown talent available to recruit. I don't know maybe they are labeled as a "football school" which turns off prospective recruits.

Facilities are a significant issue.
Stegman Colisseum (The Stegosaurus) is upwards of 30 years old and needs to be torn down. When packed its quite loud and very fun, but we rarely sell out (Maybe 4 times a year: Tech, Kentucky, UF and maybe UT).

The school should invest in new facilities but it's a chicken or the egg scenario. Do you invest in facilities (10-50 million) and that grows the success of the program or do you make the team successful and then build a new facility?

School seems convinced its the latter, not the former.
It doesn't help when your finest years are driven by Jim Harrick's cheating ass and you replace him with an absolute nutjob. And when Kentucky came calling for Tubby Smith, we didn't stand a chance.

CMF is doing a good job of rebuilding and he's a welcome change. He loves it here and doesn't want to leave. Just need to make a couple of runs deep into the tournament to get something built.
