My biggest fear, bucks and ND go undefeated, split the ever diminishing Midwest vote while the East vote goes for the Irish, and they get the BCS NC bid instead of the bucks. Looking at the irish schedule, the buckeyes need some help from their Big 10 brothers cause the rest of the ND sked looks pretty skimpy, especially since ol' man probation took USC to the wood shed.

I'd put that up there with the fear that someone is behind the shower curtain. Possible, certainly scary but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Notre Dame may not be awful, but they aren't going undefeated. They have a 1st year coach implimenting a radically different offense, a first year QB and the same players on defense that have sucked for years now.

think that Michigan is such an underdog in its first two games or might split. I can understand the feeling that the team could lose on the road in South Bend, because of historical trends in the rivalry. But not in terms of straight-up competition in which home field is removed from consideration.
I've made this point several times, but I will mention it again. Michigan did not select UConn as a home-opener team to dedicate the newly renovated Big House because it thought the Huskies would be a nice draw.

UConn was selected mostly because Rodriguez has never lost to an Edsall coached team. And none of the outcomes have ever been close.

What's more, Rodriguez beat Brian Kelly in their only matchup and the gamed was played on the road.

Now, those are the coaching facts surrounding these matchups.

The other point to consider is that for the first time under Rodriguez, he has a quarterback and an offense with a year of experience in his system playing. The concern will be how new kids and the defense react.

To me, it doesn't matter who starts at quarterback, because both Forcier and Denard Robinson are going to play. And they both should play to give this team a more difficult gameplan to consider, especially at the beginning of the season.

Dick Rod doesnt have the 2 jump starters of his career (Pat White And Steve Slaton, who he is under .500 without) anymore, and has even less defensive talent/depth than he had at west virginia trying what its 3rd different scheme in 3 years?

I'm assuming he means the '07 WVU/UC game and if he had watched it he would have seen RR literally in tears as it wound down and White/Slayton were doing their level best to choke the game away. The team was the living embodiment of the coach and so uptight you could see it through the T.V. screen. It was a WVU/UC game so I was just watching to watch but I distinctly remember thinking how amazingly scared RR looked and how it affected his team. He made John Cooper look like Cool Hand Luke on the sideline.

UC simply wasn't good enough to take what WVU was offering up on a platter that night. A couple of weeks later The 'Stache had no such problems.

I detest the skunkbears and would kill ever one of the rats if they ever crossed my path (figuratively of course), but damn, even I think that's pathetic and will say that two years of this jackass is enough.

Can you guys imagine LLLLLoyd or Bo or Gary Moeller or Fielding Yost getting up in front of some reporters and being that, well, whatever THAT was???

BTW I looked up the 2007 UC/WVU game that so inspired the scUM poster.

-Pat White had two 4th quarter fumbles that resulted in 14 points for UC. They scored the last one with 2:26 left on the clock to cut it to 28-23. WVU recovered the on-side kick to seal it.

-WVU was the #5 team, UC #21

-UC gained 407 total yards, 323 of them passing and had a 6.4 yards per play average
