2010 TSUN offseason arguments & shenanigans

The logic over there is ridiculous. "Brewster and Pryor are overrated!" Look, even if someone is overrated it doesn't mean they're not 10 times the player that Forcier and Molk are. I mean, the very fact that someone has to explain why they'd take Pryor over Forcier is mind boggling. Pryor is faster, stronger, more experienced, and less injury prone. Forcier turns over the ball just as much as Pryor, so they can't even claim that. Denard Robinson wasn't even good enough to start over Forcier - yet he's better than Pryor? It's fucking mind blowing.

I also like the Mike Martin v John Simon argument. Yeah, Martin has been awesome. Of course, by awesome I mean "middling to average". Simon is younger, less experienced, and still a better player. Molk over Brewster is the kind of decision that you could use as a litmus test for mental retardation. They have guys who could start here, but they're trying to argue that they have guys who are better than our best, most talented guys. It just ain't so.

that's a low blow.....LMAO. didn't you guys have a male cheerleader walk on and start?

The scary part about Kovacs starting on UM's defense is that he wasn't just a walk-on, but he was a FRESHMAN walk-on. Not good. In terms of your question, I really don't have a clue. To my knowledge, the last walk-on starter was Antonio Smith in 2006 and he was a 5th year senior.

I don't know why this is surprising anyone.

When I was younger and hitting the singles bars I would walk in and jingle the keys to my Dodge Omni. It wasn't much, but it was all I had going for me.

Welcome to Michigan football under RR.

(Note: that car could start for Jim Tressel - provided he pumped the pedal just right and didn't turn the key too quickly.)

The guy I was thinking about was Josh Springer. i don't think he ever started, but he was an osu cheerleader that walked on. I'm not sure if he ever even played, I just remember the story.

I guess that's a little different than Kovacs.....LMAO

Can you specify which sport? Do we even have a badminton team?

Our WR depth isn't fantastic right now, our punting situation isn't fantastic (although they are breaking in a new punter now, so...), and our KR is unsettled. Those are the only spots I can even conceive of them having someone start here.

Mesko is gone -- the bucks could have used him. Hemmingway and Roundtree would certainly get on the field, as would Robinson -- though not as QB-- as for Forcier -- reminds me of Steve Bellisari, too talented to keep on the bench and too weak on judgement to be able to stay on the field the whole game.

I would take Posey and Sanzo over any two WR's they bring to the table. As a tandem, Posey & Sanzo are one of the best in the nation easy.
