2010 TSUN News (in-season)

I think it was Speilman who said during the game that if "Michigan could get the defense out of the 100's and into the 50's, they would be a very dangerous team." That's all i'm looking for. I don't care about shutting teams out every week, but actually tackling and making plays would be a start.

After giving up 48 to Wisky today, the 2010 defense is now the worst in Michigan's storied history - 369 points allowed (33.5 per game) with two games to go.

Just think the previous record was held by one of their teams that didn't make a bowl game!!!! I knew he had it in him to be a record breaker. They gotta keep this overachiever around for awhile.

Watkins, the nation's No. 2 wide receiver according to Scout.com, picked the Tigers over Alabama, Florida, Miami, Michigan and North Carolina.
“I really like the atmosphere up there, the coaches and the team," Watkins said. "It’s an all-around good school where I can get a good education.”
“(Clemson coach Dabo Swinney) said that it’s really up to me how soon I get playing time. I’m looking to start right away and he told me that’s up to me and how hard I work.”
...Cont'd
Watkins is a 5-star WR who was down to Clemson/Michigan and a toss-up according to most. UM insiders loved their chances there.

good lord. I didn't realize we were that banged up right now. If Smith and Shaw can't go, we're pretty much screwed. I like Hopkins, but a true frosh isn't what you want to rely on in The Game. And Toussaint hasn't been healthy all year, so I don't know how effective he can be.

Start Tate at QB and line Denard up at RB......

Ah, there's the rub, I was watching the Wisconsin game and every few plays there was a Wolverine down. I began thinking, "I remember when you watched Michigan play and it was always the other team's players that were dropping like flies."

Across the board this team is undersized and it's showing up at the end of a long season.

We went through these same kind of exercises with the Domers when they were still in full blown denial over Weis. First the cupboard was left bare, then his recruits were too young then they finally have to deal with the truth come year 4 or so.
...
ahh. The old "If a dog is going to bite ..." paradigm :)

Get used to this late in the season. DickRod's system recruits a lot of undersized kids who have to fly around in space against big, physical B10 defenses. Another thing BP called upon Master Shredder's hire...
