The fact that Denard got banged up midway through the first game should scare UM fans to death.

Rod is going to ride Robinson like a new bike. This is a desperate coach who knows he's gone if he doesn't produce this season.

Robinson is 5 ft nothing and 185 pounds soaking wet holding a brick and Rodriguez has him carrying the ball 30 times like he's John Clay.

Robinson won't make it out of October if they keep that up.

I must admit, having watch them yesterday, Michigan played much better than I was anticipating. I don't expect Robinson to have that much success through the air consistently, but he was hitting open men and throwing the ball with some zip. His running, unsurprisingly, is still his main asset. He's probably going to get hurt (yes, I know he already took a shot to the hip) if they insist on running him 25+ times a contest.

Defensively... well... they also looked better than I figured they would. That said, there were giant gaping holes out there - UConn's QB was Baaaaad. And when he was good... his receivers couldn't catch a cold. None the less, I didn't expect Michigan would give up less than 3 TDs, and they did, so... they did better than I thought they would.

ND QB should pick them apart next week. But getting the win yesterday was really good. ESPN calling UCONN their upset of the week, even though some had UCONN favored to with the Big East, was very good result.

I feel pretty good about next weeks game though. I don't know if we'll win, but I definitely think we have a good shot.

I didn't watch any of the Notre Dame game, so my question would be, was Purdues defense that good that they held ND to less than 30? Is Purdue's offense that bad that they could only score 12?

IMO ND's offense was pretty average, but I do think that ND's QB will have good success against your D. Not sure if it will be enough to counter the UM offense though.

I didnt watch a ton of their defense, but it seemed ok, not great. Honestly I didn't see a huge difference in the team, but I kept switching around as well. I expect a closer game than UCONN and prolly higher scoring.

I thought DRob played good. I do not think he will be healthy all year. But he looked good. I really think that the INJ bug on offense will be seen in the next 2-3 weeks. And that will destroy them. Tater Tott. LMFAO You faimly is full of losers and your father is the king pin. Please stay so I can watch the hilarity that is the FORCIER NAME!!!! ALL IN, already hearing it from scUM fans around here. Does it get more delusional than last year????I guess Ill see. I think ND is going to lose next week to Mich. But we'll see. Im not going to care getting ready for the U.

Slow down, one game doesn't put you on Purdue's level just yet. Purdue actually went .500 in the B10 last year.

I think that they played very well yesterday. BUT, what I saw was DRob running the ball way too many times for a guy his size. He didn't take many if any really good shots yesterday. He has a lot of wiggle and tons of speed, but at his size, and with that many chances, you just know he is going to go McGuffie sometime and get blasted. When that happens, the fun begins, either a true freshman, which means a mistake waiting to happen, or Tater, who will thrill you and then kill you (scUM fans and haters alike, he can do some exciting things, but his miscues will have fans crying, and haters, laughing to death)

The defense held up suprisingly well. That first unit looked fairly solid, and they actually seem to have a few playmakers in the first eleven. BUT, again, what I saw was no depth, and a bunch of guys gasping for air and getting dinged. I think they lose some starters to injuries, just from them being too tired and getting in bad positions, then the real fun begins when the field is full of true and redshirt frosh (the fact that most of the backups were moved from slot-dots also will add to the humor)

If they stay healthy (HUGE if) they could really suprise this year and actually save rr's job (what a lovely thought ) The other thing to remember (and temper the scUM faithful's enthusiasm) is that this was UConn, and the thing that got them respect was doing decent in the Big Least :rofl:and beating a schematically advantaged NoD team:slappy:

from watching that game, anyone who picked Uconn to win the Big Least is an idiot

not that winning the Big Least means much, last years champ got pummeled by Fresno State last night

Dickrod should have stayed at WV....he would be playing for possible national championships there. The conference is usually down. He had a good thing going there, not sure he will ever duplicate that again.

Um has no depth and they are going to get Denard killed, he is not 6'5 240lbs. One other thing how is their defense going to stop Wisconsin, PSU, MSU, Iowa and tOSU when they line up and run it down their throats.

Does Dickrod not know that he is playing in a power conference where the best teams line up and run right at you. He is playing a defense to stop the spread, so I guess some wins against NW, Ill, Ind and Purdue will make you happy.

I watched the game and if uconn catches the ball limits turnovers this would have been a tight game. Um offense is solid(while Robinson is not hurt) but I still dont see them stopping the better teams in the Big10. Go Bucks

yesterday was a good day. That's all I feel like saying.
I have to say that Michigan looked much better than I expected (or hoped). Robinson was very impressive, fragile little stick or not, and as I recall Pat White was pretty small also. Not really the game I wanted to see from the Stinkweasels - but I'm confident Rodriguez will return to form later in the season. :osu:

Remember that this was Christ 1st game...The Jones kid #7 looks like a great compliment to Floyd...Woods and Allen are a great duo. Comparing skill players at ND and UCONN is like comparing a 72 Pinto to a Porsche.

All UCONN had at WR was #80 and he wouldn't sniff the field at most B10 schools. He dropped a pass at the 2 which ended their drive...yep their FG attempt got blocked...we won't talk about the fumble inside the 5. Thats at least 14 points right there. UCONN did give up 23 + PPG in the BE last season.

ND is better this year on defense. They are not as wreckless and actually play assignment football for once. They are not the silver bullets but they are better than they were last year. They don't blitz as much...IMO this is a good thing. They played out of control under Tenuta.

What better opponent to play first than Purdue...I know...I know...RR runs a different type of spread but its still a spread offense. It will help them out. They sacked Marve a couple of times.

ND looked good on special teams whereas Michigan looked like ass. Armando Allen looks to be a real threat at returns. Michigan is damn lucky UCONN didn't recover that botched punt return...ND has a solid PK and Michigan does not...

Its at ND

I'm not seeing DR playing as good as he did this weekend in South Bend. RR teams have been notoriously bad on the road.

I think Kelly is salivating at the prospect of facing this defense. There were alot of holes in Michigans defense and the middle of the field was wide open.

Considering how great DR played they still only mustered 30 points at home. The offense isn't what suprised most fans...it was the fact we thought it would be a shoot out...IMO if UCONN had a better head coach, QB,and WR's it would have been.

I like the Domers...we shall see
