2010 TSUN News (in-season)

...and you've still barely beaten two of the three teams on your schedule this year. Forget about games like OSU, Wisconsin, Iowa, etc. When the ball stops bouncing UM's way, losses to BG, Indiana and Illinois could certainly happen.
I don't think BG has the horses to keep up with scUM. Their starting QB is out and shoelaces should run all over their "defense". Gardner and Tater might finally get to see some decent PT. Indiana does have the offesne to keep up, so that could be interesting, but I still think they'll knock them off. It gets dicey after that.

What I find odd (well not really... they are, after all, fucking morons) is the Z!!OMG!! our offense is so butch!! talk. Lets never punt because of the awsomeness of Denard.

Go look at the stats, scUM's offense has barely put up any more yards or points than OSU's has and when you consider the difference in strength of schedule, well that's probably too much reality in one bite.

I still say look for the repeat of 2009. The O comes back down to earth when they face teams that play a shred of defense, the D continues to get worked hard with a dirty plunger.

yeah, Marshall and Ohio U are awesome on defense. Racking the yardage up on them is definitely impressive........LOL

You forgot one.

OSU vs. OU: 439 yds (43 points)
OSU vs. Miami: 414 yds (36 points)
OSU vs. Marshall: 529 yds (45 points)
avg: 460.7 yds (41.3 points)

scUM vs. UMass: 525 (42 points)
scUM vs. ND: 532 yds (28 points)
scUM vs. UConn: 473 yds (30 points)
avg: 510 yds (33.3 points)

I'll take fewer yards and more points against a tougher schedule (and all FBS teams) any year.

Um, Miami? Light years ahead of anything um has played thus far.

Marshall actually managed to contain wvu (who has a pretty good offense) until the officials got involved at the end of the game...and seeing n_tre _dame and uconn's results, one might argue there isn't that large a gap between their's & Marshall's defenses.

Ohio > FCS school.

...and I don't think Jax was bragging about it being impressive, just that tOSU has rung up similar offensive numbers against similar, probably better overall, competition...

But racking up points on a fucking 1-AA team is cause to continue jerking off over your QB's hair right?

Thanks for making my point.

Actually, Ohio is 30th in total defense right now (not to mention Miami, who's 16th). And here's a secret--30th in total defense is higher (way higher, actually) than either ND or UConn. And that's to say nothing of UM's FCS opponent.

Ignoring reality must be fun, huh?

2010 Total Defense

OSU Oppenents:

Marshall: 110 Overall
Miami: 16
Ohio U: 30

TSUN Oppenents:
UConn: 55
ND: 102
UMass: 46 (in FCS)

So i have to ask....... Would you like to retract your statement?

Something else to consider-

Ohio
Marshall
Miami FL

all went to Bowl games last year so in that regard they are not only better than scUM's opponents, they are better than scUM.

LOL indeed.

I'm not a big believer in the "we're a great program, we went to a bowl last year!" thing, especially since over 50% of FBS gets the "privilege".

Your point, however, is not only accurate, it's awesome.

When the teacher is giving anyone who shows up to class and fogs a mirror a B and you get an F it speaks more to the F than all the B's.

The fact they are in real danger of failing that same class for the third straight time is pure gold.
