2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

There are many things to blast Rod, his program, and this coaching staff over, but the OL isn't one of them. That is one of the few things they've done pretty well the last 2 years.

I fucking love Rodriguez, he has exactly one player (David Molk) make All-Big Ten first or second team in three seasons and it is unquestionably the best thing he has done :slappy:

Now that's completely unfair. He did turn one player into arguably the 2nd best QB in the SEC.

Lol. Please.

I never saw Schilling make freshman All-American teams like Lewan has been doing or All-Conference teams like Molk has been doing.

Schilling was a hyped up 5* recruit that didn't pan out, simple as that.

Lewan and Molk are legit talents that can play in any system, and Patrick Omameh is pretty friggin good as well.

I agree that the OL was fairly good this year, but it looks like you're selling Schilling short.

Schilling was all-Big Ten Honorable Mention by both the media and the coahes this year. Molk was 1st team in Coaches, 2nd team in media.

Omameh and Lewan didn't get honorable mention from either the coaches or the media.

Big.Ten.2010

In 2009, Schilling also got Honorable Mention from the coaches and the media, the only OL to get on either the team at all.

Big Ten

So acting like Schilling didn't work out and won't be a loss in the OL may be your opinion, but it doesn't seem to match what the All Conference selectors have thought for the past two years.

That awesome OL that mustered 7 points against the Buckeye defense:!

The OL scores touchdowns now? Wow, that's news to me.

You know, the OL did clear the way for Michigan to gain 182 yards rushing for the game, and Denard left the game early, and it was, by the way, the most rushing yardage that Michigan has accumulated against Ohio State in a game of the entire 2000's.

Our OL is not the problem with the offense. The lack of a legitimate RB on our roster and Denard's durability are our two biggest problems. Without Denard there is no offense and he gets banged up and we have to rely on him too much to carry the ball because Michael Shaw and Vincent Smith aren't exactly scaring anybody.

Right.

Denard begged to be pulled out. :roll1:

Not sure he was begging to be pulled, but he did look like he'd had enough by the time the 4th rolled around. Personally, I remain impressed with the kid. I just don't think it's reasonable to expect him to take as many hits as he does. That offense needs more dimensions to it.
