2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

Dude, the NCAA has never "handed" a trophy to anyone, because the NCAA does not award national championships in football. They do, however, recognize national championships, and they recognize nine for Michigan and seven for Ohio State. If you want to keep living in your bizarro world, then go right ahead ... but if your argument has zero credibility on a Buckeye site, then it's certainly going to be ridiculed anywhere else, especially on a Michigan site.

Wouldn't it be better to accept the facts and learn to deal with them, rather than trying to make everyone else live in your make believe world?

Hey they have more Easter Bunnies than we do...

Answer one simple question...WERE THEY OFFICIALLY GIVEN A NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY FOR 1901 THRU 1904...4 TROPHIES?

There is a reason the NCAA doesn't hand those trophies out every year...thats right...because they are not official because football is the only sport with no tourny to crown a champion.

My Bizzaro world believes that there are as many Santa's, Easter Bunnies, and Tooth Ferries as there are NCAA Championships in CFB...0...they don't exist.

Michigan's whole advantage in wins is purely the result of what they did in the friggin 19th century.

Even from 1902 to the present Ohio State has more wins and a better winning percentage (we can thank Mr Rodriguez for the recent bump of course).

The skunkbears pretend "dominance" of college football is their greatest delusion. No one is even still alive from the period that Michigan was the elite program in college football.

If you say a generation occurs every 20 years or so then the people enjoying those wins in person were roughly the great-great-great-great-grandparents of a high school senior today.

I'd also like to add that the game of football was really an offspring of rugby until the forward pass...just for the record Rugby is not an officla NCAA sport...its still a club sport...just another thing to think about. So until the forward pass I don't know how they can call it a NC because it was essentially rugby. Food for thought.

you mean there is not a soul alive that was there to witness scUM's 50-0 win over the legendary Albion College in their 1901 season opener??

My fault, there is one fan that remembers the Golden Age of Wolverine football..

Well, I just want to put this out there. Right now. So there's no bloody misunderstandings in the future. Now.

Brandon's gonna have to do a WHOLE lot for me before I forget Bill Martin. You just don't waltz in here and take over from the love of our lives.

It's going to take time. We've lost the love of our lives and we're in mourning. He mustn't expect too much too soon.

He's going to need to be consistent. I know it won't be easy to show progress in furthering the progress of a living legend, but he needs to remember that even little screw-ups, every day, add up to big things over time. Keep that in mind. Even as things are at this well-developed stage, with consistency will come further progress.

He needs to take risks. There will come a time soon enough when RichRod will have to go. Finding another high flyer like that won't be easy but taking a big risk on someone special--perhaps a high school coach whose relations own a string of pizza shops--is bound to pay off in spades.

And, finally, there needs to be some romance. This is the world's best rivalry. We need more than a few hours of bump and grind. Tell us how much you love us from time to time. Between those times when we come together. When you think we don't notice.

Mr Brandon, if you play your cards right, you will have the undying love of one of the world's most loyal fanbases. It's an opportunity that few people get. Don't blow it.

Or rather, do!

True, however I wish he wouldn't say those things out loud. I much preferred the Troy Smith ultra humble approach. Yeesh.
You don't remember when Smith gave an interview, at a time when he was frustrated about being the 2nd-string QB behind Zwick, in which he referred to the OSU coaching staff as puppet masters that were toying with players' lives? It's not my point to disparage Smith, he ended up being great in every respect, but Pryor isn't unique in needing to learn some lessons along the way.

Bo's Best Friend

Interesting the comments from Jon Falk who is the last of Bo's staff remaining. He said in his book," If These Walls Could Talk" the following:" Rich Rod will be the same way, " Falk said. "He has a lot of Bo in him. He's a tough guy and is all business. Just give him a little time , and you'll see great things at Michigan. He's a good coach and a good man. And just like Bo, nothing matters more than the team." The guy that sees all the internal workings of the program said that. I hope his voice is heard. . p 221 in his book.

Unless Bo is somehow butt-f*cking him from the grave, there's absolutely NOTHING like Bo Schembechler in DickRod. At all.

The best part is the guy making that post has 2 posts total. I guess Beaver isn't above making ghost accounts. Of course it could also be BKB
