Michigan really shot themselves in the foot in this game.

Similar to the 2008 season, Michigan needs to regroup between now and the bowl game and come out firing. Who knows if RRod comes back, but a few positives from the season are: the emergence of Denard, the development of the offensive line, and the development of the offense at large.

The defense is very young and inexperienced, maybe they should try what Oregon does and take some big chances and risks.


UM will play in a decent bowl and get its 15 (?) bowl practices to get better.

Yeah, that offense is so dominant that they've been effectively neutralized by each decent defense they've faced. They only managed to put up points and yards when the opposition eased off the throttle...until today that is.

I'd say that even with a coaching change it'll be at least three, at least on the defensive side, this recruiting class appears to again be top heavy with slots and undersized RB's It looks unlikely they have enough time, or prospects to do much about the defensive recruiting.

True dat. Even on O, they're undersized and injury prone. Whoever takes over has a problem. They have to turn Mich back into a pro style O, and there is not enough horses to do it. They need a 6 year plan, really.

jwins linked in the "News" thread that they are now leading for a little-recruited rb out of FL and snother low-level RB out of tsun. That could mean four RBs in this class and they've yet to land a DT...and it doesn't look promising. It's mind-boggling how incompitent dickrod is.

BTW...scUM has now scored twenty-seven points in the last four years vs. tOSU.

I realize that there are a great many perplexing things about the ship that DickRod is attempting to steer up north; but during the game I was really struggling with how a storied program like Michigan is lacking someone who can kick a field goal. Fascinating.
