Interesting. You'd think that the incidences of using "we" to refer to a team that you are only a fan of and don't actually play for would go down when that team sucks balls, but I guess not.

I had a brief conversation with a co-worker about this the other day...
He says, "What the hell is up with Michigan? I mean, I know they haven't been bowl eligible in a while, but... shouldn't they just expect that?"
I said, "You know, Ohio State has been bowl eligible for a couple of weeks now. You didn't rush the field or otherwise celebrate?"
He said, "No. Actually, I didn't really realize Ohio State was bowl eligible again. I mean, I just sorta assumed...."
"Wait. You didn't celebrate? No parties? No puffing your chest, feeling important? Any of that?"
"No. Did you?"
"Of course not. Getting bowl eligible isn't much to celebrate when your team doesn't suck ass."

On the word "Man" and its prefixes
The prefix "wo", when applied to the word "man", denotes a smug, self-satisfied, self-indulgent, hypocritical individual, utterly convinced of their superiority to anyone to whom the prefix does not apply.
From experience, one can surmise that the prefix "Michigan" carries the same meaning; but this would be an oversimplification. While the prefix "wo" is, on balance, not to be taken as a moniker of derision, the prefix "Michigan" always carries this connotation outside of a very narrowly defined, dirty and foul-smelling geographic area.

The last Michigan MAN was BO! What has happened up their there is pussification personnifed, No defense and no hitting and an offense that wins by trickery because they couldn't man up in a POWDER PUFF league! I belive RR operates under the don't ask-don't tell policy..
