2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

He won't. If OSU scores more that's good as well. There is a part of me that just wants OSU to kill Michigan. I really don't want RR back. Best way would be to send a 50-14 beating or 63-14 would work. I really don't care. Then the flip side is that Michigan some how upsets OSU and Rich Rod comes back. It's really a no win situation. A win over OSU would be nice but it's not going to change anything. Just saying if Michigan has to lose, I hope they get killed.

This house has leaks, no insulation, a poor foundation, etc. The best way to get rid of it is to burn it down and start all over from scratch. Get back to what made Michigan being Michigan. It may be a long process, but I'm patient and I'm a long term person. People can bitch..... it can take awhile, but I rather have Michigan be good in 4-5 years than just average in the short term. Have to think long term. Michigan needs to get it right this time. Don't listen to the media what Michigan needs to do, block out all the negative shit coming from opponents, fuck them..... just focus on Michigan long term.

So......Les Miles, right?

Brandon: I will comment on the state of program after the season

David Brandon: "I will comment on the state of the program after the season. I know the coaches and the players are working hard to get better."

That's what the AD said yesterday.

Meanwhile, there was a 'big version' of the coaching-rumor that was running around on Sunday, namely, that RR was going to be replaced yesterday by Gary Moeller as interim coach for the rest of the season. Even though G-Moeller has NOT been a RR-basher (quite the contrary), this rumor was spread by some of the LC-folks, as part of the same-old anti-RR propaganda.

Well, just a fair warning: this old-rumor is still being spread, just in a 'new bottle' -- that this was just postponed for two more games -- that unless U-M wins the next two this will happen in two weeks, before the Wisconsin game.

I am writing this just for fair warning to you -- it's just propaganda meant to be a distraction, to discourage recruits, etc.

It's getting harder and harder to separate the reality (which is bad enough right now) from the propaganda.

So: remember that what Brandon actually said yesterday is: "I will comment on the state of the program after the season."
NOT ALL IN!!!!!!!!! NO CLOAKERS NEDDED!!!!!! LLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's see if I grasped this. If I did, I should probably be afraid.

UM loyalists WANT to discourage recruits from coming to UM and torpedo (Toledo?) their own program. The idea that UM would get rid of RR is discouraging to recruits.

An ominous statement inferring that changes will be made after the season, however, is supposed to be comforting to recruits, because at least they can bask in the cloud of doubt.

Don't try to make sense of it. Right now what you should be trying to do is save/remember the Beav's quotes--because when RR gets fired, it'll be doubly humorous to see how quickly the Beav starts trying to suck up to the new coach and blame RR for everything.

He'll delete all of his RR suckup comments and replace them with...

"RR left the cupboard bare"
"He didn't recruit defense"
"His offense was too quirky"
"RR's system just couldn't work in the Big Ten"
"RR should be an OC somewhere, not a HC"

Those Beav quotes are coming. Hilarity will ensue.

Is there a thread for the Michigan Illinois game yet? I couldn't find it...

Anyways, how in the freaking hell is Michigan favored??? I know the transitive property doesn't OFFICIALLY apply to college football, but come on! It has some validity. And you don't need to look very far to see that Illinois will drive a truck up Rich Rod's ass this weekend.

Illinois 33, Penn State 13
Penn State 41, Michigan 31

That's a 30 point difference from Illinois to Michigan. Basically, Illinois ****> Penn State > Michigan. Granted, I know you have to play every game, yadda yadda yadda, but to turn around and make Michigan favored???

This is a gimmie.
